Serval
This medium sized wild cat is found in Africa. The serval is characterized by its long limbs,
rather short legs and tawny fur patterned by handsome black spots. Including the length of the tail
the serval reaches only 56 inches in length. The serval most commonly preys on small antelopes,
francolins and guinea-fowls. They are found in thick, bushy habitats, always near running water.
The range of this wild cat is from Algeria to the Cape.
