Lynx have common cat characteristics such as covering of urine and feces as well as tree climbing agility. Lynx do not commonly run. However, they have exceptional stamina and will walk long distances following the trail of prey. This solitary hunter is nocturnal relying on its excellent vision and sense of smell as it takes pursuit. The lynx feeds on small mammals such as hares, rabbits and small deer.
