Like a young puppy the red fox will chase its tail and make a game. This charming display will often attract and mesmerize rabbits and birds, which may be snapped up as play turns to strategy. Red foxes breed once per year, rearing a litter of 4 cubs in a hollowed earthen hole. Both parents care for the young kits.
