Raccoon Dog 2
The diet of this carnivore includes fruit, grains, roots,
rodents and small mammals. Like the raccoon, this pest will scavenge through garbage in
populated areas. Living in colder regions of the world, the racoon dog has a winter dormancy,
sleeping in their burrows for long periods of time on a bed made of grass and moss. The raccoon
dog is found in eastern Asia, including Japan where it is now rare because it is hunted for its
valuable fur and meat.
