Maned Wolf
The maned wolf shares many similarities with the red fox. The most
noticeable difference among the two animals is the length of the legs. Standing 2 1/2 ft at the shoulder, the maned wolf
has extremely long legs. The full tail, which is often black-tipped, may reach 15 inches in length.
These measurements set the maned wolf apart as the
largest member of the dog family. The coat, which is long and shaggy, is red in colour,
highlighted by black on the legs and muzzle. MORE!
