Dingo
Unique among Australian animals, dingos are one of the few mammals found in Australia among many marsupials. Centuries ago Australia was cut off from Africa, Asia and Europe prior to the development of true mammals or placental animals, allowing marsupials extended survival. For this reason it is odd to find dingo fossils dating back 6000 years. It was perhaps travelling Aborigines which brought back this wild dog. MORE! [BM] {FW}
