Arctic Fox 2
The muzzle of the Arctic fox is short and the ears are quite small, a necessary feature of many
Arctic mammals to ensure that a minimal amount of heat is lost. The soles of the feet are also
insulated by long hairs, to ensure warmth and solid footing on the ice. This adaptation is also seen
in the polar bear. MORE!
