The wild boar has a broad diet including acorns, roots, fruit, ferns, insects, lizards, and rodents. Boars have been domesticated for a very long time. Easy to care for, they readily take to living in homes or barns and often can obey simple commands and respond to directions. Boars are generally unaggressive and if persecuted take to flight or escape by swimming. Living in forested regions and open grasslands, wild boars are found across Europe and Asia. [BM] {FW}
