Muskdeer are shy and live singly in a marked territory. They come together in December and January to mate, with the fawns being born in the spring. Muskdeer live at fairly high altitudes where there is snow cover for part of the year. The muskdeer must dig through the snow to find lichen, mosses and roots. Muskdeer have long tusk-like upper canines which are not used for feeding but for fighting. Muskdeer are found in Siberia and Tibet.Back to Muskdeer. [BM] {FW}
