South American Deer
There are 16 species of deer found in South America. These are all shy deer and little in the way of
research has been done. All are small to medium sized deer and choose to remain hidden during
daylight hours. The most common group of South American deer are the brockets. There are a
total of 4 species of brockets. They are quite small, standing only 2 feet at the shoulder, weighing
no more then 46 lbs. This small, shy deer is solitary or will travel in pairs. MORE!
