Roe Deer
One of the smaller members of the deer family is the roe deer. Roe deer reach no more then 4 feet
in length and stand approximately 2 1/2 feet at the shoulder. A mature buck may weigh up to 70
lbs. However, the doe is smaller overall and weighs no more then 46 lb. In the summer the coat of
the roe deer is reddish-brown in colour, turning darker and more grey in the winter. The
underbelly of the deer is white and there is a white patch on the rump.MORE!
