Red deer reach approximately 8 feet in length and stand approximately 4 1/2 feet at the shoulder. In the summer months the coat appears reddish brown in colour, turning more grey into the winter months. In the beginning of September stags begin to grow new antlers which reach full size by the end of the month and fall off sometime between February and April.MORE! [BM] {FW}
