Pere David's Deer 2
When a flood broke down the wall to the Peking hunting park, most of the deer escaped
and where killed by impoverished peasants. Those that did survive were finally killed off in the
early 1900s as a rebellion broke out in the area. Fortunatly Pere David had bribed some guards to
remove several live specimens from the hunting park before the flood broke down the wall. These
specimens were established in Woburn Park in England.MORE!
