Fallow deer are the most common deer found in captivity. They are beautiful deer, having a soft fawn or chestnut brown coat decorated with white spots. The rump of the fallow deer is white. When alarmed the hairs on the rump stand erect and the tail is held high, revealing a flash which warns other deer of the threat. Quite small in size they reach only 3 feet at the shoulder.MORE!
