Axis Deer

Sorry, No Picture! There are 2 species of axis deer, the chital and the hog deer. The more common chital reaches heights no greater then 3 feet at the shoulder. The colour and pattern of their coats make them perhaps the most beautiful members of the deer family. The short haired coat is reddish brown in colour and has distinct white markings which run in patterned lines along the flanks. The underbelly and inside of the ears are also white.MORE! [BM] {FW}
