Zebu 2
Zebu have a large muscular hump on their shoulders and some have upright horns. The
coat of the zebu is usually grey, although black and white coats are not uncommon. Records of zebu
domestication date back to 4500BC. Primarily raised for meat, the zebu shows remarkable
endurance and is also used as a draught animal to haul heavy carts and do other labour. Zebu are
said to be much friendlier and more docile than Western cattle.
