Waterbuck 2
The coat of the waterbuck is thick and rough. The deep brown coat of the deface
waterbuck is strongly marked by a white circle on the rump, around the eyes, and around the
muzzle. The white ring is replaced by a white patch on the rump in the common waterbuck. Male
waterbucks also have a mane which runs down the midline of the throat. Like the lechwe, the
waterbuck lives near the water but is not considered semi-aquatic. MORE!
