The Arabian oryx is only 3 feet, 6 inches in height and is white in colour. The face is by deep brown or black. The legs are also usually quite dark. The endangered scimitar oryx, seen in this photograph, has a coat of white that is dramatically marked with red on the head and neck. All 3 species of oryx live in small, wandering herds, with no more then a dozen members. These smaller herds unite to graze during the rainy season. MORE! [BM] {FW}
