Nyala
The true nyala stands 42 inches in height at
the shoulder and weighs between 250 and 275 lbs. Both the male and female nyala are quite
beautiful although they are considerably different. The female is smaller than the male and has a
chestnut brown coat which is decorated by 11 body stripes. The male has twisted horns and has a
warm grey coat which is decorated by 14 body stripes. There are also white spots on the face and
