Nilgai
Nilgai, related to both cattle and buffalo, are considered to be primitive. They have, in fact,
changed very little since the Miocene times, 15 million years ago. It is assumed that those
ancestors from which our modern day cow arose, would have fairly closely resembles the nilgai.
Bull nilgai are quite heavy, weighing up to 600 lbs, measuring 52 to 56 inches in height. The bull
has small horns measuring no more than 8 inches in length. MORE!
