Lechwe are fascinating antelope in regards to their
habitat. Found in flooded plains and along waterways, lechwe spend a great part of the day
partially submerged in water. They live in water so much that they are considered
semi-aquatic. Lechwe feed on marsh grasses during the rainy season and feed on land when the
region they inhabit are dry. During the dry period lechwe are rather unhealthy, reviving as the
