Lechwe
There are 2 species of lechwe: Mrs. Gray's lechwe and the common lechwe.
Both species have fairly long hair which makes up a rough coat. The colouration of the lechwe
differs considerably between species and subspecies. All males have lyre-shaped horns which
sway backwards slightly and are curved twice. The lechwe lacks a mane and lacks face glands,
which are in both kobs and waterbucks. MORE!
