Duiker
The word "duiker" is Afrikaans for diver. The name of this small antelope suggests it shy habit of
running for cover. The common duiker stands 2 feet in height, while the dozen species of forest
duiker measure no more then 18 inches in height. The colouration of the duiker varies
considerably, from soft fawn to inky black. All duiker, with the exception of the female grey
duiker, have short, pointed horns which point backwards. MORE!
