Chamois 2
Like many other mountain dwellers the chamois is a
skilled mountaineer. Their legs and hooves act as springs and secure the animal on the steepest of
surfaces. The young calves begin their mountain training by jumping on and off their mothers
back. Chamois are browsers
and grazers. However, they have incredible digestive powers and eat almost anything. Chamois are
found in pockets throughout southern Europe into Asia Minor.
