Cattle 4
The aurochs were heavy
set bovines, which stood 6 1/2 feet at the shoulder. The head of the auroch was crowned with an
impressive set of long, curved horns. The aurochs were very adaptable, spread abroad
geographically and able to live in a wide range of climates. Their adaptability, coupled with their
social nature, made this cattle a successful domesticated animal. Back to Cattle.
