The bongo is an antelope which lives in dense forest. It is a stocky animal which measures between 48 and 50 inches in height. The coat of the bongo is red accented by white stripes. Both sexes of bongos are graced with horns. The horns follow a open spiralling pattern and have yellow tips. The ancient antelope known as the bongo can be found along the forest belt of Africa, with isolated pockets 7,000 to 10,000 ft up in East Africa. MORE! [BM] {FW}
