The addax is one of the most beautiful of all animals as the head is graced with long spiralling horns. This mammal has been persecuted ruthlessly, hunted for the prize of the addax horns. Hunting, coupled with diminishing habitat, has resulted in their greatly reduced numbers. Found in desert regions, the addax feeds primarily on grass.
