Catshark
The catshark has a beautiful, patterned skin of spots and stripes. Two
of the most interesting species of catshark are the swell shark and the shy eye. The swell shark when
hauled out of water, swallows great amounts of air causing it to swell to twice its normal size. The
shy eye is known to cover its eyes with its tail when caught. All catsharks lay eggs that are enclosed
in small cases that anchor to the seabed for some 8 months until the little shark breaks free.
