Rhea 2

Sorry, No Picture! The rhea belongs to a group of large, flightless birds. It is believed that these flightless birds have evolved from birds that did fly. However, they all acquired powerful running legs and adapted to a new way of life. Included in this group of flightless birds are kiwis, cassowaries and emus. Rheas are found in South and Central America. [BM] {FW}
