There are approximately 6 species of prion. A close relative of the Fulmar, the Prion differs in size. Reaching only 30 cm in length, the Prion has dark feathers, edged by white, with white throat. Living in flocks, Prions live in the open oceans, only coming to land during breeding season. They feed primarily on plankton and small plants. They are found in the southern oceans. [BM] {FW}
