Cormorants commonly live in costal waters, rivers and lakes. One species of cormorant has completely adapted to an aquatic lifestyle, and like the penguin has lost the ability to fly. All cormorants, flying and non-flying, feed primarily on fish. Cormorants are found in every part of the world with the exception of the islands of the South Pacific. [BM] {FW}
