Tailorbird

There are 9 species of tailorbirds belonging to the warbler family. This bird has the remarkable ability to sew leaves together and form a nest. The nest may be made of one large leaf folded over, or up to 45 leaves carefully connected with leaf fibres, spider silk or other fine material. This small architect, found in the undergrowth, ranges from Australia to India and the Philippines.
