Sparrows are common birds, often one of the few feathered inhabitants of urban areas. They are just under 6 inches in length and have brown plumage with black markings on the uppersurface, and grey plumage on the undersurface. The common house sparrow can often be found nesting in man-made habitations; whereas this field sparrow is nesting in a coniferous tree. Sparrows are found in most parts of the world. [BM] {FW}
