Parrotbill
There are approximately 20 species of parrotbills. These small birds are appropriately named
for their short, strong bill like that of the parrot. Ranging in size from approximately 4
to 7 inches the parrotbill shares physical similarities with the tit bird. Living in a
variety of habitats, including reed beds and tropical forests, the parrotbill is primarily
found in the Orient (although one species ranges from China to Britain).
