Nuthatch 2
The nuthatch eats hazelnuts and other nuts in the autumn. By wedging the nut into a crevice
and delivering a sharp woodcutter blow to the nut, the nuthatch is able to retrieve the
delicacy inside. The nuthatch otherwise feeds on insects. Nuthatches are found in North
America, Asia and Europe.
