HELP INDEX NEXT UP PREVIOUS FEEDBACK ATG Martin

Sorry, No Picture! The martin, which shares many similarities with the swallow, belongs to the family Hirundinidae. Small birds, reaching lengths of about 3 inches, they have blackish-blue upperparts with a white rump and belly. With a slightly forked tail, the martin is quite easily confused with the swallow. The most common species of martin is known as the house martin. House martins are found throughout Europe, Asia and North Africa. [BM] {FW}
