HELP INDEX NEXT UP PREVIOUS FEEDBACK ATG Linnet

Sorry, No Picture! Linnets are small, inconspicuous birds. They reach lengths of approximately 5 inches and have warm brown plumage which is white on the underside. In the spring the male linnet has a red crown and red breast. Inconspicuous through colouring and shyness the linnet prefers the cover of bushes and trees (although travelling in large flocks in the winter the linnets will cover open, arable land in search of seed). Linnets are found throughout Europe, northwest Africa, and in parts of Asia. [BM] {FW}
