HELP INDEX NEXT UP PREVIOUS FEEDBACK ATG Jackdaw

Sorry, No Picture! The jackdaw is a bird belonging to the crow family. It is 13 inches in length and has black plumage with blue highlights and soft blue eyes. The jackdaw is a bird which has adapted well to increased urban development and is commonly found around buildings and towers. Like the crow, the jackdaw loves shiny objects and is a successful thief. So intrigued are jackdaws by flashy objects that they will even steal lit cigarettes. On more than one occasion forest fires have begun from jackdaws bringing burning cigarettes to their nests. Jackdaws build very large nests, constructed of sticks and lined with such things as fur, wool or paper. This member of the crow family can be found in Europe, Africa and Asia. [BM] {FW}
