Greenfinch
The greenfinch is a common finch throughout Europe and Asia. This finch, 6 inches in length,
has a stout, conical beak like that of other seed eaters. Tinged with green, the plumage has
an olive-brown appearance. The wings of the greenfinch are edged by bright yellow feathers,
as is the edge of the tail. Greenfinches are frequently seen in towns and villages where they
live amongst homes and gardens.
