Flowerpecker
There are approximately 55 species of flowerpeckers. These are very small birds, reaching
lengths between 4 and 7 inches. The flowerpecker has a small, pointed bill and short tail.
Flowerpeckers feed on nectar and berries inadvertently assisting in their pollination
process. Mistletoe is the usual food of the flowerpecker. The nest of this bird is tear
shaped and hangs from a branch. Flowerpeckers are found in India, China, the Philippines,
Malaysia and Australia.
