Crow
There are approximately 100 species within the crow family. The carrion crow, which
originally gave name to the family, reaches 19 inches in length and has black plumage
highlighted by a blue or purple sheen. Crows have a very diverse diet, even known to kill and eat
sick or weak animals. All members of the crow family are known to pester birds of prey, as
this crow is chasing a bald eagle in mid air. Crows are found in Europe, Asia and North
America.
