Catbird
The catbird is a relative of the mockingbird and thrasher; all are members of the family
Mimidae. The song of the cat bird closely resembles the mewing of a cat. The catbird
measures 4.5 inches in length and has a black cap and blue-black plumage. The North American
catbirds range from the southern border of Canada to Central America, where they spend the
winter.
