Sorry, No Picture! There are approximately 119 species of bulbuls. Ranging in size from 6 to 10 inches in length, the bulbul is a relatively small bird. They have short, weak wings, long tails and some species have a crest. Surrounding the beak, bulbuls have well-developed whiskers. The plumage is generally dull with several species having brighter patches of yellow, red or white. Bulbuls prefer warm climates and can be found in parts of Africa, Asia and southern Europe.
