Blackbird
Blackbirds are members of the thrush family. Reaching approximately 10 inches in length, the
male is characterized by his inky black plumage and orange bill, while the female is
characterized by her cinnamon brown plumage, brown bill and white speckled throat. This red
winged blackbird is a common backyard inhabitant, feeding on seed trays and berries.
Blackbirds are found in Europe, North America, parts of Asia and northern Africa.
