HELP INDEX NEXT UP PREVIOUS FEEDBACK ATG Button Quail

Button Quails are very small birds, very similar in appearance and habit to true quails. Reaching 4 to 7 inches in length, the Button Quail has rounded wings and an extremely short tail. Button Quails live is open grassland or dry bush. They are not easily observed, because when they are disturbed they fly a short distance and then freeze. They retain a motionless stance until the danger has passed and then they slowly move away on the tips of their toes. Button Quails are found in parts of southern Europe, Asia to the Philippines, and in many African regions. [BM] {FW}
