Quail 2
Quail generally do not fly; only when
disturbed will they fly low to the ground for 3 to 4ft. They prefer open, grassland habitat and
rarely
live in areas with tall vegetation. Quail live in small family groups and are popular game
birds. This photograph features an alert Bobwhite quail.
