Peacocks are haloed by an enormous tail of eye spotted feathers. Peacocks measure approximately 7.5ft, two-thirds of that length composed of the feathered train. The peahen is less showy than her male counterpart. She has no train and is mottled brown in colour. The show of feathers is used by the male to attract the female. [BM] {FW}
