Peregrine
The peregrine is a large falcon capable of breath taking speeds. Averaging between 15 to 19
inches the peregrine has grey-blue plumage and white underparts with black bars. Easily
trained this falcon has been used for centuries as a sport bird. In this photograph a
peregrine has just captured its prey. Today, peregrines are used on airports to clear the
flight paths of small birds which pose danger to the aircrafts. MORE!
