The marabou is a species of stork. There are some 17 different species of stork found throughout Europe, Africa, Australia and South America. The marabou is unique among members of the stork family for it feeds on carrion. Most storks feed on living animals such as frogs and fish which they catch with their dagger-like bill. [BM] {FW}
