HELP INDEX NEXT UP PREVIOUS FEEDBACK ATG Spinetail

Sorry, No Picture! Spinetails are a group of swifts, which includes the common chimney swift. The spinetails can be distinguished from other swifts by their short tails with spiny tips and sharply tapered wing feathers. Swifts build their nests on the vertical plane, the chimney swift often using saliva to adhere nesting material and eggs to the inside of a chimney. The chimney swift is 5 inches in length and are found in the United States in the warm season, migrating south for the winter. Other members of the spinetail family are primarily found in Africa, Asia and America. [BM] {FW}
